Outlook Express (POP)
This section will guide you how to start configure Outlook Express to start sending and receiving email. All settings for the screenshots will be based on the following information. Please change it to suit your account settings which is provided in the "Welcome to HostSG!" email.
Domain Name: HostSG
Email Server Name: mail.HostSG
Email Username: test
Email Address: test@HostSG
Open Outlook Express. Click Tools on the menu bar.
Select
Accounts from the
Tools menu.
Select
Add then select
Mail
Enter your
Name in the Display name field. This will appear when you send out emails. Click Next when you're done.
Enter your
Email Address
Click
Next when you're done.
Enter the
Mail Server Name for both Incoming Mail and Outgoing Mail
Click Next when you're done.
Enter your Full Email Address for the Account Name.
Click Next when you're done.
Click Finish to get back to the list of email accounts
Highlight the email account under All.
Select Properties to edit the settings for your email account.
Check the settings for your email account.
Your outlook express will be fully configured after you finish these procedures
